On Top Of The World

IMG_2401

Apologies for being a bit quiet this last week… it was my birthday so I was a bit of a busy bee!

This weekend, Paul and I met some friends at the Alexandra Palace Fireworks and before it got dark, we took a few snaps!

It was a tad windy and I had to keep hold of my hat pretty tight, but the view over London was amazing! To keep a little warm during the fireworks, I wore a new purchase I made on my birthday day off – this organza camel jumper. It’s quite light but super cosy, and the organza panel on the front makes it a little different to your usual knit. I do have a mild obsession with knitwear but this is currently one of my faves!

I’ve also wanted a jewelled necklace for a while and found this little gem in New Look the other week whilst browsing with my bff, who actually bought me my new hat for my birthday! (Fankoo! ;-)) The berry colour really compliments the camel jumper, which is good news as it will go perfectly with my camel coat too!

What do you think to my autumnal outfit?

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

My Weekend: The Classic Car Boot Sale

IMG_2182

Last Saturday, the boy and I set off to The Classic Car Boot Sale at the Southbank where all of the cars at the event were 1989 or older. The scene was vintage all around, from old school food vans, an old double decker bus serving as a bar and victory rolls at every glance, there was something for everyone.

So after perusing some car boot stalls, listening to some old school jazz and blues and chowing down on some pretty awesome hot dogs, I found my dream car and got a bit jealous of all the immaculate victory rolls and curls! I have to say that the event was well worth the £3 entry fee! The boy was pretty much in heaven too with his obsession with classic cars. You can check out his take on the event at The Social District.

Did any of you get to check it out?

Lips As Red As The Rose

IMG_1132

A little Snow White reference there for my new purchase… the shoes! I saw them advertised in Stylist the other week and had to get them! (Oh the power of advertising eh?) But the price was pretty amazing so it was a no brainer! I couldn’t actually quite believe they were H&M and my friend thought they were Lulu Guinness when I wore them to work! Not bad!

Since we are well and truly into colder seasons, buttoned up blouses and jeans are coming out of my wardrobe. I love a bit of monochrome and when I saw the lips loafers, I thought that they would be the perfect combination with one of my jeans/blouse outfits to give them a tiny pop of colour.

This blouse is one of my favourites with the heart detail cut out on the back. It’s feminine and with black jeans and a gold necklace, this outfit makes me feel quite dressed up. The shoes add a little extra too now! ;-)

My leather jacket is a firm staple of my outerwear at the moment and it’s pretty versatile. I think everyone needs a nice leather jacket in their wardrobe!

What do you think to this autumnal outfit?

My Weekend: Peggy Porschen Cakes

IMG_1079

At the weekend, the boyf and I got up fairly early and went to have a little look around the Capital Car Boot Sale in Pimlico. I’d heard a few good things about it so we wanted to check it out. We actually managed to grab ourselves a bargain and spent five whole pounds on a little wooden and leather chest for our living room! ;-)

Since we were in and around the area, we decided to go on a little explore and go and find Peggy Porschen Cakes after I’d read about it in Stylist the other week.

I’m not going to lie, I’m a bit obsessed with any sort of baked good and a cupcake is definitely one of my favourites so I was quite excited to get my paws on a cupcake after a bit of a chilly morning! The cake shop was quite easy to spot with its pink exterior and I couldn’t wait to get inside! There were quite a few flavours on offer, with the Strawberry and Champagne looking pretty delicious, but the Banoffee did it for me! Paul opted for an apple strudel and we took them to go to enjoy with a nice cuppa when we got home!

And not to forget my outfit… quite easy going, a pair of basic black leggings and a long top with this studded leather jacket, which I absolutely love! I added a little studded belt and a gold and black necklace that I managed to pick up in Florida earlier this summer.

Just one last thing about the cupcakes… SO light and fluffy!! Deffo a must if you’re ever in the area!

Badger Drive

IMG_0919

Last weekend, Paul and I met up with some friends for lunch. I picked out a fairly casual outfit as we were meeting for a Sunday roast in a little village outside of London. We then stopped off to take a few photos in a nice little country park, just off Badger Drive! (Some may know what this means…)

The cami top has been this summer’s staple and there are so many ways to wear it. I kept it pretty casual with blue jeans and added a grey marl blazer (really glad I did because it was pretty cold in the pub!). You also really need to wear a bandeau with one to not show half of your bra!

I like the salmon colour of the cami and I’ve been tempted to purchase it in cream and black (standard) as they are so versatile, but I’m slightly in the AW phase now so we shall see! I’m already thinking about knits and boots! (Pink fluffy number on it’s way to me as we speak! ;-) )

Have you purchased a cami this summer? How have you styled it?

Colour Me Neon

IMG_0030

Whilst in Oxford last week, I couldn’t help but to look inside a few shops, where I spotted this little neon number! I usually go for quite muted colours, mainly cream and white with a few pastels thrown in, but this dress caught my attention. It might be because neon is so hot for summer right now, or because I liked the shape of this dress – tshirt style and not too short, with a slight dip hem at the back.

I nearly grabbed a pair of heels for this outfit but then decided that I wanted to dress it down slightly as the colour does all of the talking. I picked my nude studded Zara boots, along with my chunky Topshop bunny necklace and added a few more jewellery pieces – ASOS stacking zig zag rings and a gold bracelet.

I like the contrast of the really bright neon orange and the nude boots, what do you think?
